Programs
RPS offers the opportunity for students to shadow adult members of our community to provide insights to students as they consider college options, fields of study, and career choices. As a PreK-12 school on one campus, our adult population reflects involvement in many areas. As a result, a visiting student could shadow numerous professionals, including, but not limited to:
Athletic Director, PE teacher, Coach, Athletic Trainer, Nurse, Guidance Counselor, College Guidance Officer, Admission Officer, Publications Director, Web Manager, Technology Director, Media Specialist, Department Chair, Classroom Teacher, Learning Support Staff, Principal, Headmaster.
This type of shadowing program can be scheduled almost any time of the year for almost any duration, and can combine shadowing opportunities for more than one career.
Students may also participate in shadowing opportunities with local Fortune 500 companies like Verizon and Johnson & Johnson.
Rutgers Preparatory School will consider 7th and 8th-grade placements.
